Humbucker Special Which of these is the best guitar?
I tend to like SG's but would not mind an Ibanez, Les Paul, Washburn, or something like that. I've got a price range of $300- 400. I already have an Epiphone g-310 SG with gold hardware and Gibson '57 humbucker in the bridge, but am looking for a backup axe in case something happens to it. I DO NOT WANT A BLUESY GUITAR LIKE A STRAT!!!
I have the following in mind:
an Epi SG g-400 Vintage (http://www.guitarcenter.com/Epiphone-Vintage-G-400-Electric-Guitar-102488731-i1150101.gc)
an Ibanez RG3EXFM1 (http://www.guitarcenter.com/Ibanez-RG3EXFM1-Electric-Guitar-104831474-i1400085.gc)
Epi Les Paul Special 2 Sunburst (http://www.guitarcenter.com/Epiphone-Les-Paul-Special-II-Electric-Guitar-100001870-i1149986.gc)
Or a used Epi SG g-400 Deluxe (http://used.guitarcenter.com/usedgear/details.cfm?listId=104965013)

get a decent acoustic and that's going to open up a whole new world for you,. but if you want to stay electric get the SG since you seem to like it better. at the end of the day its your guitar that your playing and you gota like it
So basically my D string broke because I had it up to EBEF#BE to play a John mayer In your atmosphere song. When I was playing it after a couple hours, it just complete broke on me. I bought new elixir polyweb strings, stretched them out, played into them for a little bit and its been about 2 days now. When do you think its safe to tuned it back up to EBEF#E? Its basically tuning the A and D string 2-3 more steps.
When is it safe to tune it up? I dont want to break my strings again.
Any input would be grateful
you need to get different gauge strings for the strings you are going to be tuning up, or else use a capo. Other than that, it should be safe after you stretch them once or twice.
Solo Tuner Is tuning your string double flat means the same as tuning it down a full tone?
I have KORG solo tuner [GA-1] and it has standard EBGDAE tuning and each note can be flat tuned down to 5 semitones. So for example if i double flat tune my E string, will become a D?
Or am i missing something...
Yes basically its saying take your E string, go down one half ( E flat) and the go down another (D). Peace, Love, Namaste

KORG Solo Tuner GA-1
how do i standard tune my guitar Korg CA1 Solo Chromatic Tuner CA-1?
Can somebody help me with this thing
With tuner on the 440 hertz setting, just tune your strings as follows starting with string 6 (the fat one on the top). E A D G B E So the top and bottom (fattest and skinniest) strings are both tuned to E. Make sure the volume is turned up on the guitar, plug it into the tuner and pick the top string. If the needle moves to the right it is sharp and if it moves to the left it is flat. Just adjust the tuning peg until the needle settles in the middle (green light). It may go a little sharp or flat when you first pick it, but if it settles in the middle just after you pick it that is fine.
