hi i just got a fiesta vintage fender precision bass from guitar center and the tuning on the knobs to tune on the machine head, i have to move the tuning knob downward to tighten and upward to loosen can any one tell me if thats ok? is that how they were made back then or so i have a problem?? please help
*or do i have a problem
on the original Fender basses, the tuners did work "backwards" from how they turn now
"some" of Fenders reissues, are the same
as a tribute to the old ones
i have the tab, but it doesn't say on it the tuning for a 4 string bass guitar. anyone help? thanks.
It is tuned C# F# B E (3 steps down) which is very unusual here's another tab with the tuning http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/c/chevelle/the_red_ver2_btab.htm
I've never seen that tuning before but it's a good song!
So i normally tune to the Standered tuning E A D G B E, every time i play along to any song that is in standered tuning it sounds off when i play to a song I know im not out of key because I have a guitar tuner
Thx cj
Well it's possible the songs you are trying to play are in a different tuning key. Or that you are tuning the strings to the right note but in a different octave. I'd suggested going onto google and typing in "online tuner" the first few links should sound out the notes for you to get spot on!! Rock on dude
How to Play Guitar: Beginners / Tuning by Electric Tuner
Tuning problems with my guitar using a tuner?
I have an electric tuner for my guitar but when I switch it on, it appears in the bottom left corner what I assume to be the key that it is tuning in (ie e#, b). I simply want to have my guitar to standard tuning but apparently this isn't in any key at all, but my tuner has to be in one, from a range of about five. The reason this has caused a problem is because if I tune, say my sixth string to an E whilst the B is in the corner, then as soon as I change the B to an E# or whatever, the tuner stops saying I'm playing an E and says another completely different note, even though it is exactly the same note?? Btw I dont have any instructions or a guide for it so thanks in advance
There is no E#. E# is F. You are obviously misinterpreting what your tuner is trying to tell you (and what that button does).
Without knowing the exact model of the tuner, I can't really help you.
Pipe Tuner where can I buy a chromatic pitch pipe for singers?
I can only seem to find guitar and string tuners but I need a pitch pipe for when i can't access a keyboard for my students' exercises. If you know where i can get one that has all the notes for singers in the UK that will get you 10 points and my thanks
yeh found that one but it's only in c and in the us
Did you even TRY to google it?
It's chromatic (ALL notes) and I'm pretty sure they ship.
