Ead String Guitar strings - Is it OK to mix metal and synthetic?
I'm a beginner so don't know a lot about this. I have an acoustic guitar.
Strings EAD are metal,
Strings GBe are synthetic.
Is this OK or is it better if they're all made from the same substance?
Thanks
Nope
don't change
you have guitar that is designed for nylon strings and you have to stay with those.
the 3 bass strings actually have a nylon core, so they are still considered nylon strings.
if you change to all steels strings, that will be too much tension for the guitars top and tuners, and it will damage the guitar,

Guitar Strings Names Instrument What is this Mexican instrument?
I was in a parking lot not too long ago and this Mexican man was selling these instruments that looked to be about the size of a ukulele. But it has six strings and has twelve frets up to the body of the guitar-like-instrument. I've never seen anything like this.
If you have any knowledge of what this instrument is called PLEASE let me know! I was trying to tune it (stupid idea) and one of the strings broke. I don't know the name of it so i can't exactly go buy a new string. There is no label on the inside. I can post a picture (i think) with something next to it to show you the size of it, if that would be of any help. Please help me out I would really appreciate it.

Jazz Bass What is the difference between a jazz neck and a p-bass neck?
I'm looking for a replacement on a vintage and saw a mighty mite jazz bass neck and wanted to know if there is any tone difference and what are the differences in size. Thanks
A jazz bass fretboard is more narrow and the neck is a little thicker than a P-bass.
Tone difference is all basically based on the woods used to make the neck.
But chances are if you are playing one or the other and switch you wont really notice a difference.
For me I prefer the jazz bass neck. I have small hands and its nicer for making chords.

Sei Jazz Bass Jam
jazz bass?
what does a jazz bass have or do that other basses don't
The Jazz Bass has brighter tone and richer midrange than a standard bass, since it has two single-coil pickups. Basically, this gives it an overall cleaner and "happier" tone than usual, designed for jazz, although it is still versatile enough to use in any other genre.
Solo Tuner Is tuning your string double flat means the same as tuning it down a full tone?
I have KORG solo tuner [GA-1] and it has standard EBGDAE tuning and each note can be flat tuned down to 5 semitones. So for example if i double flat tune my E string, will become a D?
Or am i missing something...
Yes basically its saying take your E string, go down one half ( E flat) and the go down another (D). Peace, Love, Namaste

KORG Solo Tuner GA-1
how do i standard tune my guitar Korg CA1 Solo Chromatic Tuner CA-1?
Can somebody help me with this thing
With tuner on the 440 hertz setting, just tune your strings as follows starting with string 6 (the fat one on the top). E A D G B E So the top and bottom (fattest and skinniest) strings are both tuned to E. Make sure the volume is turned up on the guitar, plug it into the tuner and pick the top string. If the needle moves to the right it is sharp and if it moves to the left it is flat. Just adjust the tuning peg until the needle settles in the middle (green light). It may go a little sharp or flat when you first pick it, but if it settles in the middle just after you pick it that is fine.
