Gibson Les Paul?
I don't understand the difference between the gibson les paul standard, classic, and deluxe. I was at George Music Store yesterday and i was talking to this kid who said that you can buy the deluxe for some $500 dollars cheaper than the standard if I went to some store. Can somebody tell me the difference. Like the standard uses humbucker pickups and the deluxe doesn't or w/e
it all goes by the quality of the pickups and wood. the different wood give them different tones.
my favorite model is the Les Paul custom
the Studio is a stripped down "more affordable" model with no binding and 490R & 498T pickups.
The special has no binding, no maple cap, and the top is flat instead of figured. Specials are made with 490R & 498T pickups now, but they used to be made with single-coil p90 pickups.
The standards are, well, standard. They have binding and Burst Bucker pickups (closer in tone to the original PAF). Those are $2300 with a flame maple top.
The Classic is the model that goes for $1800-2000. These have ceramic pickups in the regular version and those funky green block inlays. There are off shoots of this model that have H90 (a stacked single coil) pickups as well as 57 classics. The Classic usually has no pickup covers.
The Custom is a double bound, all mahogany model with the bound headstock, gold hardware and split diamond inlay. .

Which guitar should i get gibson or fernandes?
I can get a gibson sg special but im debating on weather or not to get a fernandes montery deluxe instead i like to play harder music and dropped tuining but i need advise quick so please help haha, i just want another persons feedback before i make a purchase.
Well, I would say a Gibson, but a Les Paul would probably be better for drop tuning than an SG.
