Guitar Tuners Replacement squier bullet special mods.?
ive decided to do some work on my first guitar to make it gig worthy.its a 2002 black squier bullet special and im thinking of changing the tuners pickup and saddles.the saddles on mine are just crappy and it pisses me off so its the first thing to go. i really dig the sound of tv jones pickups but i dont know if it would be a good replacement for the single humbucker.the tuners are the last thing to go ( if i feel like replacing them and have money) what do you guys think of the tv jones. would a p 90 be better or a better humbucker. i like brfight bright tones by the way
i know that the p 90 is not a humbucker. i meant a better humbucker than the one on the guitar
i only have one pickup ( a "hot" humbucker as they described.) its ok not great but not horrible
The p90 is a single coil pickup not a humbucker. It is not the same size as a normal humbucker. I would recommend a Seymour Duncan JB for a great rock tone and plenty of "sparkle" but that is my opinion and the only opinion that really matters is yours.
This is the description, does it sound legit and worth it?

only real problem with buying a guitar at a big box store is when you get them there in a box,and it's a long trip from China, not so much that there bad guitars it's just that they've never been set up, now you have to find a shop to set it up for you, adjust the truss rod, action and so on, and boy your going to be pissed to find that you could have bought the same guitar or better for the same price already set up, instead now you get to pay to have your big box guitar set up so it sounds halfway decent.
Plain Steel Strings What strings would be good for my Guild D25M Acoustic?
I broke a string and figure I need new ones. The strings are "plain steel". What would be the best replacement?
Get some light gauge Martin SP strings acoustic strings. The model number for the ones I'm telling you about is MSP4100. They will sound phenominal compared to what you have on there. I have literally compared the sound of these in comparison to other brands of strings on THOUSANDS of guitars, as I have been working as a guitar tech in an independent music store for about 7 years.
Light Electric Can you power a light bulb with an electric motor?
I know that spinning an electric motor makes electricity, it's what they use at Hoover Dam. If you were to spin a motor by hand, and hook two wires from it to a light bulb, would it work?
Used as you describe, it wouldn't be a motor, but a generator. It would work only if the motor you start with was capable of providing back EMF when forced to rotate.
Remember that a motor is optimized to turn electrical energy into mechanical, so you would likely have a poor efficiency of conversion in the opposite direction.........
Think of the generators used to light bicycle lights by letting the tire spin a serrated wheel on the generator drive shaft.

How to light electric pilot light?
The pilot light in my gas furnace heater went out. The pilot light is electronic. I was told that there might be instructions printed somewhere on the heater but I cannot find any. What is the process to relight the pilot?
An electric pilot is not a constant burning flame. it creates a spark that lights the burner. If it is working correctly you should hear a clicking sound and then the burner will light. The appliance needs to be connected to and electric outlet also.
Guitar Parts is there a company that would sell guitar parts for cheap to a local guitar maker ?
me and my buddy make really nice custom guitars are there any companies that would sell us really cheap parts if we promise to buy bulk when we get the money ? we just need something to get us started.
Unfortunately, no one is going to sell to you at quantity discount prices on just the promise of quantity purchases later. That is, unless the parts supplier is really hurting or you make a really good pitch.
You didn't say what parts in particular you were looking for. One suggestion I would give you is to buy your electronics from a different supplier than your necks/bodies/etc. The "one stop shopping" places have bought their electronics from an electronics distributer, and then added their markup to it.
I don't know what your business plan is (or if you have one for that fact), but custom guitars is probably one business you should not try to differentiate your self by price. If you got the cheapest components out there, you still couldn't build a guitar cheaper than what's being imported these days.
If I'm on a budget, I'm not going to look at a custom guitar. If I'm looking at a custom guitar (and I've bought a few), then price is secondary to my decision.
