Similar Mideastern song recommendations?


Sup folks, so just started paying a bit more attention to Mideastern music n am looking for recommendations on similar songs. I dont know Arabic so the song AND Artist name would be useful. Any thing with strings, Oud or violins or Egyptian orchestral music would be great. Below is what I'm listening to so far.

Of course I started off with Om Kalthoum,

and was really impressed by the vocals, strings and the flute in Bab am Yebki by Asi Helani.

HTML concerns?


I am trying to find a link that gives the current temperature in a city as a string but i have no idea about HTML, i found this in a source code of one of the websites, and i think it reads the temperature from a different website.

Can you please tell me how does it work?

weather.com provides weather information in XML for select cities in North America. Coverage is best in the US, but quite a few locations in Canada and Mexico are covered as well.

Look for the 'Weather on Your Web Site' link in the footer of their home page. They provide a Flash app that fetches the XML data and presents it. They don't otherwise document how to use the XML data as they prefer that you sign up for the service. But, you can always use a tool like WireShark to see how the weather requests are made and the format of the data returned.

What I did for my own sites was to review plugins for web applications, such as the wp_weather plugin for WordPress, to see how the XML was parsed and the data was presented, and finally create my own parsing/presentation for the locations I was interested in.

Scale of lighting fixture size to that of building?


My mom is looking for lighting to put up around and in her barn that was just restored.

Does anyone have any information on a scale that would show for what size of building you'd need what size of lighting fixtures?

No such scale exists. You have to define the objective of the lighting; is it architectural (i.e. for design effects only), functional (provide lighting for functional purpose), for security (light up the dark areas so bad guys don't have a place to hide)? Once you define the purpose of the lighting that will guide you in the choice of lighting.

Most any lighting store worthy of the name can help you, but that is the first question they will ask.

Training a parakeet?


I hav had one parakeet before my current pair and I had more time devoted towards him. I haven't had much interaction time with my newer one I have had them since March, not neglect they have fresh food and water every day and almost never get out of the cage because...I have tried it about three times and they are soo hard to catch and fly into walls and bite, with two hard to keep track, and please don't yell at me for the little interaction but they keep them busy. Should I try to train them one at a time. These birds arte soooooo much harder to train than my other one seriously 5 times out and it would not bite fly away sit on my shoulder and not just fly off. Help me train give me tips since I have much more time to devote to them. Also is just pre-packaged seed a good enough diet for them I have offered fruit they seem to not like it. Please help any way you can!!!!!!!!

The key with parakeets is patience! I would persist with letting them out to fly around. It took my birds a few times to figure out the boundaries of the room with flying. Make sure there is a way to get back into the cage on their own and they'll go in when they get hungry or tired.
Again, patience with the hand training. I think it is easier when they are apart. But even if they're together, be sure to do it when they are in a quiet mood. If they're hopping around and excited then they're not going to relax with you.
You should feed them a variety of foods. My budgies don't like fruit either, although I keep offering it. Keep trying different things. Mine LOVE a big piece of lettuce - especially if it's still damp after being washed. They also like big chunks of cucumber with the peel. You may have to keep putting the same thing in for them every day before they will try it. Again - patience!
