Coated Slinky

whats the difference between all the ernie ball strings?
i want to know the difference between super slinky, regular slinky, coated super slinky, top heavy slinky, etc... thank you
The gauge of the strings. The heavier the strings the better they handle lower tunings. Also, lighter strings are generally better for people that do a lot of solos since they're easier to press down and to bend. I use mainly Skinny Top Heavy Bottoms and one of my guitars is set with Not Even Slinkys.
@ MOZ - I think they mean more of the difference between the different Slinky sets, and not the actual TYPE of strings.

2010 is here
What to wear to a cocktail party?
A client of mine has invited my husband and me to a cocktail party. She is in her 50's and her friends are maybe even a little older, we are in our early thirties. i know she will be dressed to the nines in pants, what on earth should I wear? I am a little overweight so I dont want a slinky dress, but a nice dress would be okay...HELP and hubby likes khakis and polo shirts but I am sure that is too casual. what kind of sports coat? Her invitation said mountain elegant attire. We live in the mountains
thanks
"Mountain elegant attire?" Isn't that an oxymoron? Cocktail parties don't bring to mind khakies, but khakies would be pretty "mountain elegant."
Since you know she'll be dressed to the nine's in cocktail pants and judging by her age - I would say the safe color would be black.
Wear a dress that doesn't hug your curves - something with a little structure and swoosh. A fashionable belt to create a waist and add casual would work well. The dress should not be below your knees (esp. if you're petite). But not much shorter than an inch or so above. A lovely pair of noticable earrings and a great bracelet would work well since necklaces are a bit out right now. Maybe a pin - but not all mentioned accessories at once. Pick two. Earrings a must - those of a bling nature would be great.
If you wear a black dress don't wear black heels. A silver or gold would work well.
Rule #1: NEVER overdress. Better to be slightly more casual than too formal and show up the hosts.
For your husband a suit. If he must wear khakies then a safe bet would be a black sports coat over a polo. Perfect compromise!
Here's an example of a safe mountain elegant: http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=301823&CategoryID=24142&LinkType=SiteAd&LinkLoc=1&AdID=48395
Try this with a white shirt and black jacket: http://www.dillards.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=301&langId=-1&storeId=301&productId=501404185&splashlink=f071508&N=1000934+2010129&searchUrl=%2Fendeca%2FEndecaStartServlet%3Fsplashlink%3Df071508%26N%3D1000934%2B2010129&R=02487286

or this which also comes in black: http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2954201/0~2376776~2374327~2374331~6014176?mediumthumbnail=Y&origin=category&searchtype=&pbo=6014176&P=1
Hope this helps!
