Electric Guitr what is the best guitar strap for a heavy electric guitr??
my guitar strap just snapped and i need a new one...any suggestions for the best straps??
the one that is holding the guitr snapped not the one hanging on my shoulder...
Defiantly a wide strap with strap locks that will keep your strap from coming off of the guitar. Nylon is actually very strong and cheaper than leather

Relicing An Electric Guitar Neck (Session 1)
can a pickguard be added to a guitar?
if the guitr originally didnt come with one (electric)
Yep, it can.
I'd definitely recommend going to a guitar store or a guitar repair shop to get one fitted rather than trying to do it yourself...DIY jobs can ruin great guitars if you're not yet technically proficient in the guitar area...trust me, I should know.
If you look for a guitar store or a repair shop in your area, it's always worth asking an assistant/the shop owner if they'd be willing to fit your guitar with a pickguard. Take your guitar in and give any specifications you want, e.g. colour, shape, etc. There will most likely be a pickguard available which is suited to your tastes and either fits your guitar or can be altered to do so. The store may order your pickguard themselves or recommend one to you and ask you to purchase it and bring it to them for fitting. Pickguards aren't particularly expensive, but remember that there's an extra charge for fitting it which varies from store to store, so if you live in an area with more than one guitar store, it's worth checking out the prices in each.
Guitar String Order guitar(electric) setup order- intonation or string height adjustment first?
hi
i've got a squier strat and am setting it up myself. i'm not sure if it matters, but should there be any order of doing things when setting it up? ive already adjusted the truss rod and spring tension(i actually put in all 5 trem springs and screwed in the claw as much as i could...not planning on using the trem anymore)
Now I'm wondering if there should be any order in which i continue ie. should i adjust string height first or set the intonation first?
it probably doesnt matter a TON... but the way I understand it is adjusting the string height (via saddles) changes the distance between the bridge and nut by a minute amount (making them higher increases tension and increases string length by a millimeter or so, opposite when you go down), therefore changing the intonation. so it would make sense to adjust height, then intonation so that you dont throw one off when adjusting the other.

D Addario Strings Acoustic What brand and gauge strings should I get for my acoustic guitar?
Hi, I'm giving my friend my Yamaha acoustic guitar for his birthday and I need to change the strings. He is just a beginner and I don't buy acoustic guitar strings, most of the time I am buying D'Addario .10 gauge strings for my electric. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me a good brand and gauge for a beginner guitar player on an acoustic guitar.
Sorry, I know its the wrong category. I didn't mean to choose this category.
10s are best for beginners on the acoustic I reckon, I used 11s but nothing heavier than that. D'Addario is a good enough brand so, you answered your own question really. Martin's are also a good make. There are I think better strings out there but they can be more expensive.
my g string on my acoustic guitar keeps breaking!?
I have an acoustic guitar and i use light gauge D'addario strings. For the 2nd time in a row my new G string has broken on the first day! I don't understand! could someone give me some help please!
Okay - seriously, I know the frustration of this. When I was starting out I kept busting the A. If it happens much more, you might want to get your guitar looked at, though honestly I can't think of any problems the guitar could have which would not be very obvious (then again, I'm not a guitar repairman or luthier). You're using decent strings, so that is ruled out.
HOWEVER, I can offer you how I got past my problem: I just got better at the guitar. I don't know how long you've been playing but my issue was that I was strumming wrong or too hard; as I improved I became more confident in the power of my strums (read: I figured out I didn't need to beat the thing to get good sound out of it). If you think this could be your issue, too, then what you might want to do is keep a couple extra G's in your case (most shops sell single strings) and just be more conscious of how you're playing.
If you're sure that your problem is NOT what my problem was, then I'm sorry I wasn't able to help and hope you figure it out!
Does somebody know how to fix Refx Nexus? When ever I try to use it, it says "The expansion product is unknown. Please contact ReFX support. The output has been muted." I did everything to set up Nexus and it still won't work. When I choose somthing like XP Bass and go to "preset" to choose the sounds, it says that. What do I need to do to fix Nexus?
