Electronic Acoustic Guitar Tuners Silvertone guitars are they any good?
What do you guys think i just bought one but im not sure what do you think of this:
The Silvertone SD Series Acoustic Guitar Pack sets a new standard for price/value. This complete package includes the SD Series dreadnought (full) size acoustic guitar with natural top, mahogany stained back and sides, rosewood fingerboard and step-up quality die-cast tuning machines. To assure you have everything you need to get started, Silvertone also includes a digital electronic tuner, guitar carry gigbag, guitar strap, strings, picks and chord chart. Natural Finish
No.
Silvertone is shit. I'm not joking when I say this, they are poorly-made equipment that aren't worth the materials theyre made out of.
Nothing that comes in a "kit" is worth it. Except maybe (MAYBE) Epiphoen stuff.
Please, go to an actual music store and pick up something worth the money you're spending on them. A nice starter acoustic is a Yamaha.
1st Acoustic Guitar, should I worry about buying a tuner?
So I got my first acoustic guitar, and wanted to know whether or not I should get an electronic tuner for it to keep it tuned. I will be starting a class next week, so I may be able to get away with borrowing some from someone in class. Also, if I do get one, what would be a good one to get? I keep seeing reveiws on different ones saying that they're good for an electric guitar, but I dont see any that are good for an acoustic.
Unless your blessed with the ability to clearly hear and differentiate the notes (in the proper octave)...which is extremely rare...you'll need and want a tuner.
You should also pick up a metronome if you don't have one....another invaluable tool for guitarist at ALL levels...not just a beginner!
I have several tuners...the one I normally carry in my acoustic gig bag is a Korg Chromatic Tuner (model CA-30). It was about $20...and has worked well for about 5 years. It can be used on either acoustic or electric guitars.
May sound stupid but ah well, I have a Korg Chromatic tuner CA-30 and a Guitar Professor Qwik tune, I can never understand why when I play a string, say B, it will stay B for a bit and then I suppose I tune it too far or something and it will change to something different, say C, my main question is, is there anyway to just make the tuners show the main strings, EADGBE, so I can just tune those, if not please explain to me or show me a site explaining to me how to tune the strings normally.
-Thank you
wow actually helped a lot got it tuned in like 2 mintues after seeing that, thanks
your guitar professer has a pitch feature if thats any help, the button marked tone,

Elixir Guitar Should I buy Nanoweb or Polyweb Elixir acoustic guitar strings?
I've heard that the Polyweb ones can sound a bit dull?
I've tried them both but I prefer the Nanoweb, which is all I buy now. I believe the coating is a little lighter and so the strings ring a little more.
Which electric guitar strings are better for a beginner?
Which are better for a beginner who wants the strings to last long.
Elixir or Ernie Ball? What gauges should i get? I play different types of rock. And whats the specific name of the Elixirs or Ernie Balls?
