Harmonix Electric Which chorus pedal would you recommend?
I would like to purchase a chorus pedal and i've been debating over which one to get. I play mainly hendrix/bluesy type of stuff.
Here are my choices so far:
Electro Harmonix Stereo Electric Mistress
Electro Harmonix Small Clone Chorus Pedal
MXR Phase 90
Boss Ch-1 SuperChorus
Are there any other chorus pedals you would recommend I get, aside from the ones mentioned ^ ?
I can't say anything about the electro harmonix pedals because I've never used one. I have owned a Boss ch-1 for a long time now and I really like it a lot. It's built bullet proof , is very quiet and has plenty of range for a lot of different chorus effects. Never had any problem with it. I used to own the MXR phase 90 back in the 70's when they were really popular. Because it is a phase shifter it is a little bit different than a chorus pedal but would still fit very well with the stuff you're playing. The best thing would be to take your rig to the music shop and try out some different pedals, if you haven't done so already. Hope I helped , good luck.

Martin Guitar Strings 80 20 When do you know it's time to change your guitar strings?
I have a Epiphone 100DR guitar and i put martin 80/20 lights on it about 3 weeks ago. They played great at first. After they stretched out of course. but lately they've lost their ring a little bit and their starting to become more difficult. they dont hold their tune as well. I'm going to the music store this weekend to pick up a new case and some cleaning products and some picks. should i pick up some new strings too?
Yes..get new strings. Depending on how much you play, how much you sweat, where you store your guitar, whether you clean the strings after use will all affect how long they last. When I played professional I changed strings every night!
There's a product called 'Fast Fret' that will greatly increase string life. And keeping your guitar in a case will help, too. Keeps the moisture in the air off your strings.
